Ponca Sixth Graders Earn Presidential Education Award
Ponca sixth grade students: Julien Buckles, Abbie Hrouda, Cole Jackson, Evan Keller, Ellie McAfee, Julia McKinney, Bailey Paden, and Alyssa Schamp were awarded the 2017 Presidential Education Award in a third through sixth grade assembly at Ponca Public School on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.
This award was established to encourage students to achieve high academic standards by recognizing and rewarding them for educational excellence. Students must earn a grade point average of 90% or higher and achieve in the 85th percentile or higher in math or reading
on the standardized achievement test (MAPS Test) given by the school.
