Launch the media gallery 1 player - media #5Ponca girls basketball team returns to the state tournament for the first time since 2000. Friday evening and Saturday morning was a fun filled but stressful time as the team and coaches waited to see who would win the wildcards to the state tournament! There are two teams that make it to state each year based on Wildcard points in Class-C2. The first wildcard was won by Freeman. Ponca and Henningford each finished with 44.1667 points to qualify for the 2nd wildcard. Ponca earned the second by vertue of the tiebreaker. The tiebreake is based on the number of games against upper divison opponents, also known as strength of schedule. Congratulations to the Lady Indians and their coaches for their successful season and hard work. We are proud of you!
The lady indians will play Thursday, March 5th at 2:00p.m. at North Star High School in Lincoln vs Crofton!
