Attention Ponca Parents (Grades 7-12)!

We are excited to welcome Darin Boysen, Executive Director of the Nebraska Coaches Association, to Ponca Tuesday, November 4th at 6:00 PM for a special presentation: “The Role of Parents in Education-Based Athletics.”

This is an important and valuable opportunity for all parents of student-athletes to hear directly from one of Nebraska’s top leaders in high school athletics. The message he shares is powerful, relevant, and helps us all support our students and programs the right way.

Your attendance is highly encouraged and strongly recommended.

Student-Athletes are welcomed and encouraged to attend with their parent(s) as well.

A huge congratulations to Juniors Elsie Keller and Carlee Beckner on reaching incredible career milestones this season! 🙌 Elsie surpassed 500 career assists, and Carlee hit 500 career digs! We’re so proud of both of you for your hard work, dedication, and leadership on the court. 💙🤍

The Volleyball, Football, and Cross Country seasons have officially come to a close and we want to give a special shoutout to our incredible senior leaders. Thank you for your dedication, heart, and the countless memories you’ve given us along the way. You’ve led with passion, pride, and perseverance, setting the standard for what it means to be a Ponca athlete. Your impact goes far beyond the scoreboard — it’s seen in the friendships you’ve built, the younger athletes you’ve inspired, and the legacy you leave behind. Today, Ponca NHS officers as well as Sam and Kinsley Bennett delivered all of the items to Sanford Children's Hospital for their Holiday Wishlist. We are so grateful to our amazing community for their support. The amount of items donated was greatly appreciated by Sanford staff. We are so proud of our entire NHS crew for all of their efforts for this amazing cause 💛 #ThePoncaWay

This week is Red Ribbon Week!

REMINDER: Due to parent-teacher conferences tomorrow, Jackson will dismiss at 1:10 and Ponca at 1:30. Busses will run accordingly. We look forward to seeing you at conferences!

Please utilize the West parking lot or Jefferson St. for after-school pickup parking today, as a portion of 3rd St. is closed from both directions, and our visitor parking is unavailable due to a city water main break. We ask that you do not park in any part of the drive lanes of the West lot or its entrance, and find an appropriatly marked stall. Water service to the school is not expected to be affected.

Power has been restored at both campuses. We will proceed with our 2-hour late start today. Thank you!

Due to the power outage and no timeline of power returning, Ponca Schools will have a 2-hour late start today, Wednesday October 22. Busses will run accordingly. This is an ongoing situation and we will update you as information comes to us. Thank you.
