On Wednesday, our 2nd graders had an amazing day on their field trip to the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls, SD. There were many hands-on exhibits the students explored throughout the day!

Last night, the school board set the last day of school as Friday, May 15. That day will be an early release, 1:10 Jackson, 1:30 Ponca!

Due to weather, today's (4/15) junior high track meet at Ponca has been cancelled!

Congratulations to our 2025-2026 NHS New Inductees! The NHS Ceremony will be held Monday April 13th at 7:00 in the Fine Arts!

Activity Updates:

Track and Field will compete at the Hartington Newcastle Invite tomorrow, Wednesday, April 8. Field events will start at 10:00am with running events set to start at 12:00pm.

Golf will compete tomorrow for the Ponca Quad at 1:00pm.

Track and Field WILL NOT be competing at Homer on April 10th, they will now head to Homer on April 16th.

Ponca School calendars have been updated accordingly.

Today some of our students headed to Northeast Community College to compete in the Mid State Conference Scholastic Competition. Results are as follows: 🥇Brennan Statema - 1st Place in Algebra 2 🥉Cora Jackson - 3rd Place in Medical Terminology 🥉Addyson Chytka - 3rd Place in English Composition We are so proud of our medalist and all students that competed!

Track and Field update: The Plainview Invite will now be held on Tuesday, March 31 due to the weather forecast.

The Cat in the Hat showed up… and he brought Thing 1 and Thing 2 with him! 🎩❤️ Jackson Elementary celebrated Dr. Seuss Week in true Ponca style—bringing stories, smiles, and a little bit of Seuss-tastic fun to the classroom!

Today our first graders enjoyed some Dr. Suess STEAM stations!
