National Honor Society Induction Ceremony
The Ponca Chapter of the National Honor Society held its induction ceremony for new members on April 8, 2021.
Returning members include Sarah Beach, Caiden Bellows, Hunter Bennett, Thomas Chase, Kaden Fields, Austen Janssen, Addie McGill, Grace Rooney, Jacob Statema, Alyssa Swick, and Hannah Wahls.
New members inducted were Madelin Bacon, Claire Burrell, Nayeli Cabrales, Aidan Cook, Gracen Evans, Lauryn Gill, Abbie Hrouda, Taylor Korth, Matthew Lentz, Bailey Logan, and Julia McKinney.
Seniors were presented with their honor cords to be worn at graduation. Seniors include Sarah Beach, Hunter Bennett, Nayeli Cabrales, Thomas Chase, Kaden Fields, Lauryn Gill, Jacob Statema, and Hannah Wahls.

Officers for the 2021-2022 school year will be: President: Grace Rooney
Vice-President: Addie McGill
Secretary: Abbie Hrouda
Membership in National Honor Society is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors, who have a cumulative scholastic average of 85% or above, and who demonstrate the qualities of service, character, and leadership. Students carrying a scholastic average of 85% or above are invited to complete an information sheet. Those students who return their information sheet by the deadline are then eligible for nomination into the National Honor Society. The high school instructors and faculty council were part of the selection process.
