2020 Americanism Essay Winners
Launch the media gallery 1 playerStudents in third through sixth grade were invited by the Jackson American Legion to write an original Americanism Essay for the Legion Auxiliary’s annual contest. The 2020 essay theme was: “How can we address the health and well-being of our veterans, military, and their families?”
Essays were judged with first, second and third place awards given in three classes. The following students received a certificate and a monetary award:
Class I: Third Grade-1st place: Teygan Schram, 2nd place: Easton VonSeggern, 3rd place: Brianna Sprakel
Class I: Fourth Grade-1st place: Brayden Waterbury, 2nd place: Kyan Byrne, 3rd place: Ava Brown
Class II: Fifth Grade- 1st place: Carlee Beckner, 2nd place: Delainey Phillips ,3rd place: Gannon Pfister
Class II: Sixth Grade- 1st. place: Mia Krusemark, 2nd place: Gage Fowler, 3rd place: Olivia Taylor
Class VI: 1st place: Anna Stroud, 2nd place: Liam DeRoin, 3rd place: Joey Lyle
