Conference Champions!

Congratulations to the Ponca Boys Basketball team and coaches for an awesome win over Winnebago in overtime to earn the title of 2012 Lewis and Clark Boys Basketball Tournament Champions.  Ponca out scored Winnebago 64-51.  The win moves the boys to an 18-2 record for the season.    In the history of Ponca Boys Basketball, Ponca has won the Lewis and Clark Tournament Championship title 14 times.  Head Coach, Bob Hayes and Assistant, Mike Brandt have won 10 of the 14 titles together.  Coach Hayes was the assistant under Coach Steve Semmons for ten years.  They won the Lewis and Clark Conference . . . read more

AREA SOPHOMORE SELECTED FOR LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Zachary Heaton

Ponca High School sophomore, Zachary Heaton, has been selected to attend the 2011-2012 Hugh O’Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Seminar to be held at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska, June 1-3, 2012.  He will join more than 200 young leaders representing as many high schools from throughout Nebraska.
