Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Ponca High School Spanish students, along with their Spanish facilitator Mrs. Bausch, participated in a Day of the Dead celebration. Day of the Dead, a Mexican holiday, is a joyful time that helps people remember the deceased and celebrate their memory. Each Spanish student chose a deceased member of their family to honor. The students brought a picture of the family member, as well as that family member’s favorite food to share with classmates.
It was an enjoyable day of remembrance, sharing, and eating. Thank you to all of the families of Spanish students that found pictures, shared memories, and prepared the delicious family favorites.
