“Homecoming in Hollywood”

Homecoming week runs from Monday, Sept. 22 through Friday, Sept. 26. Students in grades 7-12 are eligible to dress in appropriate costumes during the week as part of the spirit competition.
Dress up days include:
Monday: Throwback Day
Tuesday: Hollywood Theme Day (if the 7-12 students come in costume that evening to the game, they will receive $1.00 off the admissions fee.)
Seniors: Actors/Actresses
Juniors: Singers
Sophomores: Athletes
Freshmen: Paparazzo
8th Graders: Body Guards
7th Graders: Fans
Wednesday: Career Day
Thursday: Holiday Day
Friday: Blue and White / Lick ‘Em Day
(Sucker Sales before school 50 cents/sucker – Limit 1/student…Victory tattoos will be pre-sold for 75 cents a piece)
On Monday, September 22, immediately following the JV football game against South Sioux City, there will be a powder puff football game for the 9-12 grade girls.
Tuesday, September 23, the cheerleaders will host a community pep rally in honor of the volleyball team who will host the Homer Knights that evening at Ponca School. The pep rally begins at 1:56 P.M. in the gym.
Weather permitting on Friday, September 26, the student body will participate in a victory march to the football field from Ponca School starting at 1:15 P.M. At 1:35 P.M. the cheerleaders will host a pep rally for the football team at the field. Ponca hosts Oakland-Craig High School that evening at 7:00 P.M. for the game. At 2:30 P.M. 7-12 grade students will participate in a brisketball tournament on the practice field. Homecoming royalty will be recognized at halftime of the football game. (In case of inclement weather there will be no victory march and the 7-12 grade students will participate in a dodgeball tournament at 2:00 P.M. in the West Gym, followed by a football pep rally at 2:45 PM.)
