On Saturday, January 10th the Ponca High School Cheerleaders and coaches hosted a cheer camp for K-6th grade girls. The gym was alive with 87 little campers, 8 high school cheerleaders, and 2 coaches. The girls learned new cheers and chants, sang and danced to Little Sally Walker, and played the very popular Ships & Sailors. After snack time the girls received their new hot pink poms. Excitement was in the air!! The girls performed for their parents, grandparents and friends Friday, January 16th during halftime of the Varsity Girls basketball game against Emerson-Hubbard. They cheered and got to show everyone in the audience how to play Ships & Sailors. It was so much fun! We would like to thank the parents for their continued support of Ponca Cheerleading and allowing your daughter to attend our fun camp. We would also like to take this time to thank our 2008-2009 cheerleaders for their help with camp. It takes all of us working together to make this special for the little girls. Thank You!
