Sportsmanship "3-Peat" T-shirts Available!

On Monday, April 7, 2008, the K-12 student body was surprised
with a "Sportsmanship Celebration Assembly" in honor of Ponca
School winning the Nebraska Class
C2 Sportsmanship Award for three consecutive years at
the Boys' State Basketball Tournament in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Presentations by Ponca School Board President Richard Dohma,
Superintendent of Schools Mr. Thompson, Athletic Director Mr.
Hayes, and Ponca Education Association Co-Presidents Larita Stewart
and Stacey Carnell were part of the program. Special
appreciation plaques were presented to Mrs. Hansen, Mrs. Schweers,
Mrs. Boyle, Coaches Brandt, Schindler, and Hayes, and Mr. Thompson
and Ms. Rinas for their efforts leading our students to be
sportsmen and women of good character. Everyone at the
assembly received a "3-Peat Sportsmanship" T-shirt and a
cookie. Students also earned a "day off" from school on
Wednesday, April 30, 2008.
If anyone in the community would like to order a "3-Peat" T-shirt
orders will be taken through Friday, April 10, 2008.
The shirts must be prepaid and the T-shirt cost is
$7.00 / shirt.

Youth: Small or Medium
