This is always a tough meet for us. Vermillion has been a perennial wrestling power in South Dakota for almost 10 yrs now. More than half of their team are returning State Qualifiers, multiple times. We actually did better this year than last (6-77) and I thought we had a stronger Team last year. Our top 2 wrestlers lost close matches that could’ve gone either way, and the others wrestled very hard. Dan and Riley scored the only varsity wins. Freshman Andrew and Riley are improving every week, and are staying aggressive. CJ and Nolan continue to wrestle hard and are in every match. Jayce sat out due to injury. They all need to continue the hard work to clean up their technique. WE will be battling more B and C school this weekend as we travel to the Plainview invite. The #2 ranked class C school Syracuse will be there among the 19 teams..
